Have you tried being grateful AND prepping your house to feed thirty people? It is a challenge. Are you in the midst of Holiday Season prep? We are already starting the list of chores. The bathrooms are getting cleaned, random, forgotten piles are being sorted and put away, and the porch is getting cleaned again! With the dusting, sweeping and “directing”, gratitude is a little hard to come by! You need a gratitude resource that help you get back to your priorities.
It never seems to end, and we will need to do it all over again by Thanksgiving. We are so busy with the way things will look on Thanksgiving Day that we can forget to focus on the internal works of gratitude. I like to use prompts, activity sheets, and unique reading books to help us focus on a topic in our homeschool. We do the same in our spiritual life.
I have been reading the 30-Day Gratitude blog posts this month at How to Homeschool My Child. Each day, a new homeschool parent shares an article for you to read, learn from, and refocus on. These articles include fun activities for the family, encouraging stories for homeschooling parents, and a chance to peek into the lives of your fellow homeschoolers.
Today, you can read my article about the value of relationships. Gratitude can’t happen in a vacuum. Are you feeling isolated? Or, are you feeling comfortable in your “little” circle?
Let’s talk about the unique way community builds gratitude in our lives. Then, you can grab my FREE gratitude resource. Print it out and take time to reflect on Psalm 103. There is so much about gratitude in this chapter to help you refocus.
You can read the full article here.
Enter to win the GRAND PRIZE for the 30-Day Gratitude Challenge too. It is valued at over $1000. You can enter when you sign up for the challenge.
Don’t have 30 days?
That’s not a problem. Take a smaller challenge each month. Print the FREE calendar and plan to do a week each month with your family. Make the activities fit your family, but don’t forget to read the NEW articles each day. I would hate for you to miss a fun activity with the kids.
I hope you find a few memories-making activities, a few encouraging nuggets, and a fresh wind of gratitude this November with all of us who are making the 30-Day Challenge possible. I also hope you find a few new homeschooling bloggers and moms to come alongside you this year.
No matter where you find it, start building your homeschool community. You will have a ready support team in place before you NEED it.
