Use this summer Bible Study to get back the time you might have not used during the school year. I have wanted to study the Bible with my kids in a more intentional way. School obligations, sports and the rush of life tend to get in the way. Summer is just the change we need to create a new habit. The nice part is that change doesn’t have to be a huge production.

Walking With God; Bible Lessons for Families, is ready to use from day one.

The course is five weeks long.

Each week there is a new theme, “When I walk with God, I…”

…I am a new creation, I show kindness, the Holy Spirit is my helper, I trust Jesus, I tell others about Jesus.

Themes you children are familiar with and lessons you can dig deeper.

Kerry leaves room for parents to be the leader of the study. In each week there is a memory verse, song, Bible story, lots of great questions to get your kids talking. There is a focus catch phrase. These help you summarize and keep your focus on the attribute you are all learning about.

Have cousins, friends of neighborhood kids that want to join the fun? There is also a craft, snack and hands-on activities. These are great ways to expand the fun and really create moments that leave an impression on your kids.

I remember the neighbor girl inviting me over to play “Sunday School” when I was a little girl. I had never attended church, but this was such a gentle outreach. I will never forget her lessons and the special crafts she prepared just for me.

Spend some time this summer connecting with children over the gospel. This is the kind of work that lasts beyond today. Create a lifelong impression and be intentional about the kids in your life. This course would be a great way to lead the next generation. You can show the love of Christ in a tangible way.
