The Princess Cut is a movie about love and expectations from Watchman Pictures. We’re reviewing it with our upper elementary kids for the Homeschool Review Crew. This was a great movie night film for the whole crew. It might be a little slow paced for young ones, since the movie deal with relationships as the central theme.
The night of her dreams quickly became the thing nightmares are made of. The dreams she held close, her hopes for the future…evaporated.
Grace decides to find out what true love really is. With the help of her Daddy, she begins her search for her own happiness. Happiness is not something that will come to you with a ring, or a job.
Where does your hope come from?
The film gave us an opportunity to talk about our expectations about love and relationships. Often we think that the love of another person will bring us happiness, but the truth is our happiness is something we must guard and sometimes search for.
“He is really cute!” (Talking about the leading Male character) – Sofia (7)
“Grace chose to be alone and trust God to help her find a boy friend.” – Claire (9)
“I liked it. I liked how her Daddy helped her.” – Brindley (12)
The Princess Cut was winner of the Best Feature Film Runner-Up at the Christian World Film Festival for 2015, winner of the Audience Choice Award Runner Up and Best Original Musical Score.
