On the dry ground

But the people of Israel walked on dry ground through the sea, the waters being a wall to them on their right, and on their left. Exodus 29:14
Today I am reminded that the same water that threatens to suffocate and smother me, did not destroy me. Instead of bringing death, troubled seas opened up and became a path. There are days that all I can see, is the waters. Mounting, piling up on both sides.
Trials, temptations, deadlines, failures, unanswered prayers. They build and threaten to crash in over me. So many days I fail to see, fail to acknowledge, fail to thank God, that I am on dry ground.
I am on dry ground.
In the midst of this vast ocean of turmoil, filled with circumstances that once threatened to drown me, I am standing. They are pushed aside and I, weary as I may be, am walking on dry ground.
Though the wall surrounds me on every side, I am not crushed. I will not drown.
I have made it my hearts desire, to grow steadfast, firmly planted in Gods love. My hope is that when I find my self at the edge of the water, with an army to my back, I will not cry out “God has forsaken me,” but will cry out in faith, “Lord, make a way!”
Your way was in the sea, Your path in the great waters and your footsteps were not known. Psalm 77:19
Lord,
You make paths in the ocean. Take me with you. Show me the dry ground, when all I can see is the water.
