I have an overall vision for my school, which is long term, and I have year long goals as well. You could have a page for each child to create individual goals as well. When you are done put them somewhere you can access them readily. You can put them up in a public space and share the vision with your family. With older children, they might have a page they have created for themselves. We add character goals with academic goals.
When discouragement comes, when test scores disappoint, when behavior problems take precious class room time, read your “why” and be reminded that you are on a much longer journey than today. My page to helps me to refocus many times throughout the year.
